"Negra Como Yo" is a podcast where we talk about afro culture, self-love, healing and identity. A project with which through humor, disruptive thinking and love for art, I seek to make visible the ethnic discrimination experienced by racialized people, talk about Afro-Latinidad and body positive. I want to inspire them through my own way of seeing life and having interesting conversations with motivating people.
Gisette Rosas Cardona is a creative producer, journalist, podcaster, activist and Afro-Venezuelan speaker based in Barcelona. In 2017 she created Negra Como Yo, a project with which through humor, disruptive thinking and love for art, she sought to make visible the ethnic discrimination experienced by racialized people, talk about afrolatinidad and body positive. She was selected by the 2020 Youth Awards as an 'Everyday Hero' for her work with the Latino community in the world of podcasting. She was chosen by Google Brazil as one of the recommended influencers of Afro-Latin content. Her goal is to create audiovisual projects that contribute to the visibility of the cultural diversity of Latin America and the Caribbean.
