Hosted by the mexican mountaineer Viridiana Álvarez, Pasos Libres (Free Steps) is a podcast dedicated to all of those seeking for a tiny push to go out and explore nature. Our goal is to share the passion for adventure, basic hiking tips to keep you comfortable on your way and extreme anecdotes from mountaineers that will inspire you to seek freedom in the forest. Here you will find the required motivation to go out and explore that part of the park that you do not know, or start training to climb the highest mountain. A production by Flexi Country and Sonoro.
Mountaineer, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and coach, Viridiana Álvarez is the first woman of the American continent to climb the 4 highest mountains in the world (Everest, K2, Kanchenjunga and Lhotse). In 2018, she became the first Latin American to climb K2 —the second highest mountain in the world and one of the most dangerous— located in Pakistan in the Karakórum mountain range. She currently runs her own business consulting company and is co-founder of a non-profit organization for the education of women and children. Viridiana is a hydro-warm woman born on May 15 in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
