We are three friends who make a living from music. We talk about what we like, some music news or scandals, but we also approach this art from a technical, objective, and subjective perspective. At the same time, our conversation becomes musical: with our instruments in hand, we improvise everything that happens during the recording. We share anecdotes we’ve experienced throughout our careers—whether in a recording studio, at a live concert, or in a bar where we’ve performed.
I’m Maw Roldan — drummer, music producer for over 20 years, and content creator. I work out of my own studio, firmly believe Sigur Rós is underrated, and stand by the fact that poblano chili cream soup is a masterpiece. My dog and my cat run the apartment. I just obey… and play baseball.
My name is Ivan González. I’m a guitarist with over 25 years of experience, involved in multiple projects — both original bands and backing other artists. In 2012, I started creating educational content on YouTube, and in 2016 I founded ChordHouse. Alongside Luis and Maw, I’ve taught guitar and music to millions of people, while also developing projects like Jamcast. In 2022, I published my first guitar method book, and in 2024 I launched my online guitar school, which now gathers hundreds of students around the world. When I’m not playing, you’ll probably find me watching movies, enjoying football, or playing video games — always with good food on the side.
I’m Luis Guillermo de los Monteros, a musician for nearly 20 years, originally from the state with the best sunsets in the world. I love talking about music and constantly learning more about it. I’m addicted to bread and buying scented candles — but somehow ended up allergic to avocado. I’m currently the bassist for Ximena Sariñana (yes, the one from the memes). I chose the wrong photo for this section, and I firmly believe Sigur Rós is overrated.
